Chitra Mitra is a marathi translation of Yasmina Reza’s Play “Art” and revolves around the friendship of three men — Sanjay, Mac, and Yatin. The central conflict arises when Sanjay buys an expensive, modern art painting — a white canvas with white lines — leading to a vehement disagreement with Mac, who views the painting as a waste of money. The play unfolds through a series of discussions about art, friendship, and personal values. As the characters grapple with differing perspectives and hidden tensions, “Chitra Mitra ” humorously and insightfully explores the intricacies of human relationships and the subjective nature of art.
