Content Editor

We are looking for a young individual who is passionate about the Marathi theatre industry to join our team as a Content Editor. Join us on our mission to connect Marathi Plays/Natak with the audience. We are expanding our team and you will be one of the first people to join our team who will be in-charge of website content.

This role requires you to work from a computer, have good typing skills in English & Marathi, with fair knowledge of CMSs, especially WordPress. You’ll be tasked with creating, editing, and maintaining pages on our website that will been seen by thousands of people every month. This is an entry-level remote position and you are expected to work only a few hours every day. You will be given ample training on how to use our WordPress CMS, but must exhibit a strong will to learn and develop your skillset.

Description

As the Content Editor for रंगभूमी.com, you will help create, edit, and maintain various pages on this website. You will ensure that existing pages are kept updated as and when the information changes, and new ones are added periodically as and when new information is available. For example, your work will involve (but not limited to):

  • Adding new shows to our Shows Calendar & Schedule page.
  • Adding information about new plays to our Natak Info page.
  • Creating and updating profiles on our Artist Profile pages.

In this role, you will not only learn how to use and publish with WordPress, you’ll also get hands-on experience with designing with Elementor. You also get to attend and watch new plays when possible.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about the Marathi theatre industry.
  • Good knowledge about websites, CMSs and internet tools.
  • Strong typing skills in English and Marathi languages.
  • Access to your own computer (Mac or PC) connected to the internet that you can work from (Mobiles or iPads won’t work for this role).
  • Live in somewhere Maharashtra, ideally in Mumbai.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized and motivated.
